The Steps of Patricia Polacco
Patricia Polacco is a woman who loved listening to her parents and grandparent's stories. Mrs Polacco had a disease called dyslexia. She could not read until she was 14 years old. She didn't write children's stories until she was 41 years old. Most of her stories were by her experiences at her grandmother's farm in the Unin City, Michigan. Patricia's grandmother gave her the inspiration in writing the story " The Keeping Quilt". We think it is really cool that a person with dyslexia can write so many great books.
